On Friday 24 March 2017, our Electrical and Mechanical Engineering employees entered two teams to take part in the Amazing Race.

The race, held at the Roodepoort Athletics Stadium, forms part of the “Be Your Dream” Easter Festival, to raise funds for student bursaries.

The race consisted of completing various obstacles and challenges, where at each check point a clue was given as to where to go next.

The teams had to drive from one check point to the next, racing to be first.

Examples of the tasks included:

• Running through Walter Sisulu Botanical Gardens to find a sun dial.
• Hitting a round of golf balls and making sure to hit the green at the driving range.
• Painting children’s faces and making balloon animals
• Working their way through a garden maize 

The mechanical team won the R20,000.00 grand prize which they donated to “Be Your Dream” in support to raise funds towards the project.
