Two engineers from the Worcester facility, UK, participated in a careers evening in a local high school on the 16th March 2016. The event was aimed at 14-18 year olds in the process of making defining decisions on their path through education and University, with our staff on hand to assist in answer questions on engineering, mining, and how young women and men can forge a path into the industry today.

At this point in the students’ lives they are having to make important decisions regarding their future, with the Royal Grammar School Worcester aiming to “demonstrate to our own pupils and to those from neighbouring schools the importance of planning ahead for University and their future careers”.

We are dedicated to promoting and interest in careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math through a wide variety of outreach initiatives in the global communities in which we operate. Inspiring today’s youth to pursue an education and STEM focused career helps build an innovative and creative workforce for tomorrow who will be dedicated to solving mining’s toughest challenges.
