Joy Global, which this year marked $1 million raised and donated to Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity, today was named the nonprofit organization’s “Corporate Partner of the Year.”
Joy Global’s President of Americas North Jeff Schmaling accepted the honor on the Milwaukee-based company’s behalf today at Habitat’s annual Blueprint Breakfast recognizing donors, community partners and government officials for their support. Several other Joy Global leaders were on hand to celebrate the occasion.
“In the past five years we’ve celebrated many milestones in our partnership with Habitat, but seeing the impact of our work together is the most meaningful milestone,” Schmaling said. “From the reduction in crime to the increase in homeownership and property values in the neighborhood we’ve worked on together, you can tell that Habitat’s presence is effecting positive change.”
