Managing the coal downturn

According to the World Coal Association Energy Outlook 2035 report, demand for coal is forecast to continue to grow.

The global energy mix continue to shift in the forecast, albeit slowly and not dramatically. Fossil fuels will continue to provide the bulk of world energy needs for the coming 20 years. The report suggests that two-thirds of energy demand will be satisfied by fossil fuels. Natural gas will see the greatest growth, with coal the most moderate, the report says.
