In Brazil, Children's Day is celebrated in October; therefore, on October 24th our Brazil office held a special party for the children at Graça Rios, a non-governmental organization that provides healthcare and daily care to underprivileged children.
The team of volunteers collected toys and candies from employees to donate to 60 children at Graça Rios. Paula Rocha in the Financial Department created a special choreography with children wearing “Minion” costumes. It was very well-received and greatly delighted all the children at the party.
The employees have been supporting the children at Graça Rios for several years, providing food, house repair, and help in the Christmas and Easter parties.
Last month, Graça Rios was recognized by a popular TV program in Brazil as an outstanding social work organization. It was awarded with a major renovation in their facilities, a new car, and a center of coexistence for underprivileged children and elderly. This entity is now called "The House of the Great Heart." The full story and award ceremony was aired last Saturday on TV in Brazil.
