This May, our Peru employees volunteered at School 1601 in Carapongo- Lurigancho (province of Lima, Peru), an area affected by the natural disasters that occurred in March 2017.

This activity, coordinated with the United Way and other companies, brought together 291 volunteers to work on the Carapongo school, ultimately benefiting 200 children from their work.

Each corporate volunteer group was in charge of a specific area; together, all the activities were designed to improve the school overall while providing the children a better place to study.

The Komatsu Mining team was in charge of painting a four-meter long mural; the photos show how cheerful and colorful the mural is. The children loved it!
